In this role, you have the opportunity to
Lead a technical organization in the medical imaging business that will help improve the lives of millions of millions of people around the world, while advancing Philips digital transformation journey as a global leader in Health Technology.
You are responsible for
?Functional leadership and management of a technical organization for computed tomography (CT) and advanced molecular imaging (AMI) product lines
?Coordination of cross-functional activities in a global environment to provide system engineering deliverables for the support of our installed base products
?Supervision, development, coaching and evaluation of personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
?Ensuring compliance with the product lifecycle, development procedures as well as all applicable quality, regulatory and standards requirements
?Is a member of the Development Management Team and determines, in consultation with the Management Team, the department’s objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place.
?Formulates and implements long-term vision/direction/strategy: steering the group to add maximum value to the business in the future. Content-wise inspires and contributes to cross-organizational strategy and project teams working on innovation themes and breakthroughs.
?Manages capabilities of the department; to develop and maintain a long-term view on the required competences and knowledge to introduce new technology. Ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time, is responsible for the technology and architecture in the department, and is responsible for maintaining and improving the department’s knowledge and expertise.
?Ensures appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy.
?Ensures an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the department's employees towards growth, manages and optimizes the innovative climate, stimulating entrepreneurship and driving engagement
?Is co-responsible for achieving operational plans, guides Project Managers/Leaders and ensures the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management, Ensure excellent project execution by constantly optimizing project management practices in the department to exceed customer expectations.
?Cooperates with relevant parties outside of the department. Works across the borders of the own department – e.g. formulate strategies or project proposals across department borders, cooperating with other department heads, programs and the business. Establishes a network with relevant players; scientific relations outside of the department and with the business - on all topics, and actively using this network to obtain input on technological developments, identifying trends and opportunities.

A progressive and energetic team that contributes directly to the growth of the business. You have a direct reporting line to the Global Systems Engineering Director, with Cross-Functional and Product Managers as your key stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Minimum Qualifications:
?Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or business discipline or alike experience.
?Minimum 3 + year of relevant experience in medical product engineering or in a similar field.
Desired Qualifications:
?Master’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics or Biomedical Engineering and 1+ years management experience
?Proficiency with data management tools / configuration management
?Experience in coaching and motivating a team
?Experience managing stakeholders
?Deep insight in engineering/ architecture/research
?Proven excellence in technical leadership in a matrix environment, including demonstrated ability to influence indirect resources
?Project and process management
?Knowledge and experience spanning multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical, electrical, software and systems engineering) is advantageous.
?Medical diagnostic industry awareness
?Prior experience as a lead systems engineer or lead design engineer
?Evidence of practical knowledge of standards and regulations pertaining to the medical device industry, both domestic and international. This includes but is not limited to organizations such as FDA, IEC, ISO, CFDA, ACR, AAPM, COCIR, MITA and other directives such as RoHS and WEEE. Examples include: FDA 21CFR820.30, IEC 60601-1 and ISO 14971.

?Demonstrated experience developing and creating strong functional teams with robust talent pipeline. Excellent time management and scheduling.
?Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills while communicating in both English and Chinese.
?Good people management skills, including: leadership, conflict resolution, assertiveness, negotiation and influence management.
?Strong presentation skills, appropriate to both management and customer audiences.
